Premium bleached substrate engineered for retail-ready packaging with sharp, high-resolution print performance across bulk SKUs.
Your bread deserves packaging that feels as honest as the product itself. Our custom bread bags, made from sturdy food-grade kraft and buxboard, hold warmth without trapping moisture and keep every crust firm to the touch. Each piece arrives flat for quick use, printed cleanly with your branding so it looks as refined on the shelf as it did leaving the oven.

Bread still releases moisture after it comes out of the oven. Trap that moisture and the crust goes soft fast. Kraft paper bread bags sit in the workable middle—they allow enough airflow to hold the exterior crisp while stopping fingerprints, dust, and shelf scuffs from reaching the loaf. Bakeries reach for custom printed bread bags when the product has to look right from the packing table all the way to the customer.
Loaves cool on the racks, then get pushed into bags by hand or on a basic packing station. The bag has to open without resistance, take the loaf cleanly, and close with a simple fold or seal when the work is manual. Once it sits on the counter or rides in a delivery crate it needs enough structure so the next loaf does not flatten it or leave grease on the bag beside it.
Gusseted bags open up for thicker artisan loaves or round boules and stand more steadily. Flat bags use less paper and pack tighter for standard sandwich shapes. A window lets people see the crust and the scoring marks, but it cuts into the space available for print and can fog if the bread is still warm. Match the form to the actual loaf and the way it will be shown.
Uncoated kraft works for most crusty breads because the steam can leave. Heavier paper stands up better when loaves are large or bags get stacked. Lighter paper keeps the cost down on high-volume sandwich runs.
White or lightly coated papers take brighter colours but hold moisture closer to the crust. Grease-resistant coatings stop oil from enriched doughs staining the paper. The coating keeps the bag looking clean, yet it reduces airflow and can change recycling rules. Whatever stock touches the bread has to be suitable for food contact—check the exact grade against the recipe and how long the loaf will sit.
Stiffer board versions give better stand-up strength for display. They protect more on longer routes, but they take extra warehouse space when stored flat and cost more. Local counter work usually manages with lighter kraft. Wholesale stacking or longer shipping pushes toward the stiffer option.
Focaccia, seeded tops, or butter-rich loaves leave oil marks on plain kraft. A grease-resistant layer stops the staining and keeps the paper from breaking down. The downside is less breathability. Lean crusty breads usually do better without it. Soft sandwich loaves that need an extra day on the shelf often need the light coating.
Damp rooms soften paper over time. Store unused bags dry and never seal warm loaves tightly. Small vents help when condensation keeps showing up, but place them so the bag still holds its shape and crumbs stay inside. Good bread bags storage starts with dry conditions and the right paper weight for the product.
Logos, bakery names, and simple care notes go on the bag. Digital printing works for short runs and frequent design changes because it skips plate costs. Offset becomes the practical route once the same artwork repeats at higher volume. Kraft mutes bright colours; darker inks and one- or two-colour designs hold contrast better. White stock shows full-colour work more accurately.
Heavy ink coverage shows scuffs more clearly. Lighter coverage with a natural finish hides handling marks and fits the look most artisan bakeries want. Always look at a proof printed on the actual paper—screen colours shift once they hit kraft. Bleed and safe margins matter because the surface flexes when the bag is filled.
Bags arrive flat and take less warehouse space. They fold quickly on the packing line and take less volume than rigid boxes. Case packing depends on the final bag size and any gussets. Larger baguette or multi-loaf bags need stronger outer cases so the edges do not crush in transit.
Wholesale orders often mix sizes. Confirm the supplier can run several SKUs in one batch. After artwork approval, standard production commonly runs 7–10 business days, though quantity, print complexity, and current load set the exact timing. Food-contact stocks and special coatings can stretch that a little.
Send the loaf dimensions, average weight, whether the bread is crusty or soft, packing method, any grease or moisture issues, preferred paper, print colours, and expected quantity. Add storage conditions and whether windows, vents, or specific closures are needed. Those details decide the paper weight, structure, coating, and print method so the custom bread bags actually work in daily bakery use.
